Bangle Bracelets

$200.00

Bangles have been around for ages. In this picture are bangles from my mother and from my maternal grandmother and my mother’s paternal Aunt. Bangles also occasionally fracture and need to be soldered back into functionality. Fortunately, the most common breaking point seems to be where the bangle was joined in the first place.

Beginning when she was still fairly young, my mother and grandmother both wore at least one bangle as a daily habit. By the time my memories begin, they each wore more than the one bangle. One of my earliest bangle-memories is of them trading a single bangle late in the evening after we had arrived at Grandma’s house. Since we lived so far apart, trading a bangle every time they saw each other had become a well-established tradition by the time I was born. (We were all living in the same house by the time I started inheriting bangles; I still need to add to the collection.)
