Camels

These olive wood camels were carved in Bethlehem and then transported to the United States to be sold while their creator visited family and friends. Some of those family and friends being visited were friends of ours from church. These two (originally three) were purchased after a celebratory dinner at their home.

The third camel now lives in the home of another member of our church choir. It traveled there after a pre-Christmas “concert season is half done; let’s celebrate!” dinner. This was also the dinner where we-the-choir collectively discovered that some gingerbread houses just do not want to remain standing.
