Dove of Peace Necklace

When I was very young, sometime before kindergarten, one of the older members of my Church choir gave me a Dove of Peace necklace. The original chain broke at some point—probably as a side-effect of wearing the necklace with a turtleneck shirt—but the pendant has remained one of my favorite necklaces for decades. As a result, it has many memories attached to it.
One of the earliest memories I associate with this pendant is from before the death of its giver. Prior to his death, he sat in the seat between the pillar and the organ in our church choir. I can still sometimes see him sitting there, along with all the other choir members we’ve lost over the years.
